Sohar Oman

Sohar is the capital and the biggest city of the Al Batinah North Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. It's an old capital of the nation that once functioned as a significant Islamic port town, and Suhar is also believed to be the legendary birthplace of Sinbad the Sailor. As per the 2010 census, the population of Suhar was 140,006, making it the fifth most populated area in Oman. The establishment of the Sohar Industrial Port in the 2000s has turned it into a significant industrial center in Oman.
